Saved places & lists

Heart your go to spots and build lists for trips. Requires a free account (sign in from Account in the menu).

Free account & guest browsing

Why do some buttons not work until I sign in?

By design. Discover and Map work for guests, but saving places, lists, hybrid search near you, ratings, reports, and contributions require a free account. Disabled controls mean “sign in to use this,” not that the app is broken.

Is an account free?

Yes. Creating a Play Spotter account is free. Paid features, if any, are limited to advertising for businesses. Families using the directory do not need a subscription.

Why does my area look empty before I sign in?

Guests see play places we have already gathered in a wide radius. After you create a free account and sign in, we can run fuller hybrid discovery and load more listings near your location.

Do I need the Android app or can I use the website?

Both work. The website supports Discover, Map, place details, and account tools in the menu. The Android app adds offline friendly extras; either way, sign in with the same free account for full features.

Ready to find your next adventure?

Use Discover, Map, and Saved in the menu above on any device. Most actions beyond browsing require a free account. See FAQ above. On Android, the Play Store app adds offline friendly extras.
